HOW TO GET HERE

  • Casa Miranda is situated 58 km from Trieste airport (Ronchi dei Legionari) in Italy (Airlines flying to Trieste airport are: Ryanair, ITA Airways, Lufthansa, Wizzair)

  • It is 17 km from Trieste railway station and 9 km from Koper railway station.

  • There is bus transport linking Škofije with Koper, Muggia and Trieste.

  • Casa Miranda has 3 parking spaces and bike storage (which can be locked).

  • Casa Miranda is located 50 metres from the famous cycling route Parenzana (123 km Trieste ↔ Poreč) which links Škofije with Koper and Muggia.

  • We can also offer our guests transport of bikes and luggage, which is particularly popular for long cycling trips and trekking tours on Alpe Adria walking trail, which crosses Škofije.

Casa Miranda is a stone house built in 1859, retaining much of its traditional character. It has been completely renovated in 2023 and offers guests all the comforts of the 21st century (Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, flat screen TV).

It is situated in a quiet area of Škofije, a small town in the Slovenian coastal region surrounded by green hills, vineyards, orchards and farmland and is located 50 m from the Parenzana cycle path. It sits amongst other stone villages and countryside full of coastal character and is part of a renowned wine producing area.

The well equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a dishwasher and a large fridge-freezer ideal for storage of food and drinks. The freezer is also ideal for the essential bottle of Limoncello or Gin and of course the ice-cubes. Outside kitchen - When the days are hot it is best to cook in the open air. With this in mind, there is a BBQ (gas and charcoal) on the terrace where you can prepare anything from locally caught fish to meats and vegetables. There is also a fragrant herb garden to help you create your culinary specialities.
