Casa Miranda is located in an ideal position, just 50 m from the excellent tarmacked off-road cycling route Parenzana. (123km long) The cycling path follows the old route of a steam railway. It takes about one hour of enjoyable cycling through green woodlands and vineyards to reach the port of Koper in the south or Trieste bay in the north.

• We offer our guests FREE BIKE RENTAL. We also provide details about electric bike rentals and rental of other sports equipment.

• Casa Miranda is perfectly positioned for anyone wanting to go CYCLING, ROLLER SKATING, or enjoying the warm seaside weather on their SCOOTER.

• Casa Miranda is ideally located for trips to the coast and beaches. (It lies 4.5 km from the coast.)

• A trip to Trieste or Koper will take only 15 to 20 minutes by car. Both are picturesque old towns with a marina, numerous churches and piazzas. You can also visit the Croatian coast and Istrian peninsula, which are about 20 km away.

• Railway enthusiasts can treat themselves to trips with steam, electric or diesel historic trains from Trieste, Gorizia, Udine and other north Italian towns. See link Fondazione FS.

• Casa Miranda is just a few hundred metres from the famous hiking path Alpe Adria which starts in Austria, continues through parts of nothern Italy, crosses Slovenia and then ends in Italy.

• For anyone who enjoys horse riding, there is the Equestrian Club Obala in Škofije. (500 metres)

• There are also some excellent natural rock-climbing walls in Osp. (8.4 km away)

• People who enjoy exploring nature or photography can find some wonderful views of the sea, vineyards, and orchards with olive trees and figs, teeming with birds and wildlife in the local area. You can also explore tranquil Mediterranean stone villages or discover the beauty of a nearby Nature Reserve with river Dragonia at its heart.

• Distance is not a problem - we can take you to Bled in the north of Slovenia, where you can experience the longest 'zip-line' in Slovenia and taste the famous Bled 'vanilla slice'. (However, do not forget to try the vanilla slices prepared in our local cafe Renata in Škofije!)
