In Škofije and the surrounding villages there are several WWII sites of historic interest. In the centre of Škofije you can visit two historic border markings:
- Morgan's Line (1945-1954) - Border between allied military administration in Italy and Yugoslav forces in Slovenia.
- Border line separating zone A and zone B of the Free Territory of Trieste (house number. 63) Allied forces governed the Free Territory of Trieste from 1947-1954.

The route takes you downhill, past the old customs buildings. When you reach the village of Belpoggio, turn left into a side road. The restaurant De Toni is located about 250 metres further on.

The route takes you downhill, past the old customs buildings. Continue through the village, following the signs for Trieste and K9. The restaurant is located about 400 metres from a roundabout, on the right, next to a small bridge over a river.
From here you can continue the circular route back towards Casa Miranda or head off towards the pretty coastal town of Muggia. Cross the road at the restaurant Del Ponte and follow the cycle path on the left. The cycle path takes you under the motorway to the main road. Turn left on the main road for about 500 metres, where you can again join the cycle route Parenzana. When you reach the bridge over a river you can either follow the river towards the small seaside town of Muggia or cross the bridge and continue your trip towards Škofije and Casa Miranda.

From here you can continue the circular route back towards Casa Miranda or head off towards the pretty coastal town of Muggia. Turn left on the main road for about 500 metres, where you can again join the cycle route Parenzana. When you reach the bridge over a river you can either follow the river towards the small seaside town of Muggia or cross the bridge and continue your trip towards Škofije and Casa Miranda.
